From July to the end of November, the Polynesian waters are a breeding ground for these large mammals. They come from Antarctica to find safety near our islands.

Sometimes it is possible to swim in the open ocean if the whales are resting. We can also listen to the singing of male singers thanks to a hydrophone.

In the heart of the Moorea lagoon, on a sandbank where you can stand, you will be able to observe the stingrays and sharks of the lagoon with a snorkel and mask.

The stingrays, very gentle by nature and very endearing, allow themselves to be petted and swirl around you until they brush against you with grace and elegance.

The small "blacktip" sharks, peaceful and calm, approach within 3 or 4 meters (without being fed) and let themselves be observed with the utmost indifference.

The excursion continues on another site, still in the middle of the lagoon, facing the village of Papetoai. There, you will discover Tiki sculptures (ancestral gods) submerged in 3 meters of water. After some explanations, you will be able to dive with fins, mask, and snorkel into this "underwater museum" and observe the sculptures, corals, and surrounding fish.

Opunohu Bay, surrounded by lush vegetation, is the landing point for the first Western navigators when they discovered Polynesia.

Cook's Bay offers a superb view of the famous "pierced mountain". We will notice its 2 Catholic churches as well as the pineapple valley, a symbol of the island of Moorea.

Throughout the year we can meet the wild dolphins of Polynesia. You can observe the long-beaked (Spinner) dolphins that thrive in the passes, bays, or in the open ocean.

The long-beaked dolphins move in groups, sometimes approaching the boat and are known for their jumps and spins, hence their name "Spinner." It is possible to listen to them with a hydrophone.
