After having explained the basics of driving a four-wheeled vehicle with a handlebar, head for the center of the island by road and dirt tracks.
Crossing the OPUNOHU territorial domain, you will take dirt tracks that will lead you from the back of OPUNOHU bay to the famous belvedere (with its panoramic view of mount ROTUI and the two bays of OPUNOHU and COOK). Pass by the agricultural high school and the pineapple fields you will discover an archaeological site where the Polynesians once lived.

The excursion will continue with the discovery of the magic mountain "FAAROA" and its downward view of the pass of OPUNOHU bay. From this viewpoint, you will be able to contemplate the different colors of the lagoon and observe some notable points such as the PAPETOAI Protestant temple.
After a stop at the magic mountain store for a possible tasting of local juices or smoothies, it will be time to return.

Let yourself be guided along the belt road towards the center of the island where you will discover the ancient crater of our volcano. After a stop at the agricultural high school, you will discover from the viewpoint the panoramic view of the 2 bays (OPUNOHU and COOK) and mont ROTUI
On the way back, we will cross pineapple fields, the river where the sacred eels swim and we will visit the archaeological site with its different MARAE. Finally, we will visit the ROTUI fruit juice factory and its production line. A tasting of locally produced liqueurs and rums will be offered to you.
The visit will continue by climbing the magic mountain "FAAROA" where you can discover OPUNOHU bay in all its glory, the different shades of the lagoon and the protestant temple of Papetoai (the first worship place built in concrete in French Polynesia).
